Willowgate Studio was begun in 2022 by Monica Crawford, a mixed media artist. She has been exhibiting her paintings in the southeast Ohio region and creates her artwork from her rural studio.

Monica Crawford is heavily influenced by her affinity for nature: the shapes, colors, and patterns of landscapes, plants, trees, flowers, birds, and fish. She often incorporates an abstract or fanciful interpretation of these subjects whether as a primary focal point or as background elements. Her style often includes elements of collage as well as other mixed media techniques.

Monica creates her artwork in a small outbuilding studio on her farm property in southeast Ohio, where she is surrounded by rolling hills of pasture and woodland.
